ST. CLOUD NEWS — March brings St. Patrick’s Day!

Get ready for a fun St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with the City of St. Cloud. Paint the Cloud Green Light Parade & Street Party will be Saturday, March 15 from 7:30-11 p.m.  The night includes live music by the Supervillains, Sammi’s Kid’s Zone, food trucks and more.The parade starts at Lakeshore Boulevard, proceeds along Pennsylvania Avenue to 11th St. to Massachusetts Avenue and finishes back at Lakeshore .

Join the Women’s Club of St. Cloud at the Library on Saturday, Mar. 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for HerStory Tea.  Hear stories of remarkable women from our community’s past come to life.  Enjoy tea and refreshments as actors from the Women’s Club of St. Cloud portray influential women who shaped our local history.  This event is sponsored by the Friends of the St. Cloud Library.
Also on the 8th, Spanish for Beginners takes place at the Library from 10-11:30 a.m. presented by Jamie Gonzalez.  This class boosts your Spanish language skills.  Learn basic conversational phrases that will help you communicate on a daily basis.

That afternoon, Mobile Device Basics: iOS takes place from 1-2 p.m.  Unlock the full potential of your mobile device!  Learn how to navigate, customize and use key features on your smart phone or tablet.  This class is presented through a grant from AT&T and the Public Library Association.  Class participants will be entered at the end of the month raffle for prizes.

All Library programs are free and open to the public. The St. Cloud Library is located at 810 13th St.

 

The Central Florida Animal Reserve presents Sip & Stroll on Sunday March 9 from 2-5 p.m. at its Osceola Campus (500 Broussard Road, off U.S. 441 a few miles south of 192 and Holopaw).
