Calling all history buffs! The 29th Annual Battle of Narcoossee Mill takes place this weekend, March 25-26 at Chisholm Park (4700 Chisholm Park Trail). This educational and entertainment event is sponsored by the Jacob Summerlin Camp 1516, Sons of Confederate Veterans. View authentic artillery, cavalry, infantry, settlers and visit Civil War era camps. There will be period vendors, children’s activities, live music and barbecue. This event is open to the public at 9:30 a.m. each day. Battles begin at 2 p.m. each day. Admission is $10, ages 5 to 11 is $5 and under 5 are free.

Are you new in town, or have you lived in St. Cloud for decades? How much do you know about St. Cloud’s history? Join Ron McCracken on St. Cloud Main Street’s next Historic Walking Tour on Wednesday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. This guided walking tour takes you back in time to the early days of St. Cloud’s beginnings. Learn a history rich in development, a fire that ruined part of downtown and some of the newer additions. Walking through St. Cloud’s past will give you insight into the current downtown area as well. Tickets are $10. To purchase tickets, go to https://bit.ly/3JS5MB5. Each ticket holder gets a goody bag with coupons and promotional items from downtown merchants.

After the Historic Walking Tour, make sure you stop at downtown St. Cloud Monthly Market. This evening in Historic Downtown St. Cloud will feature over 150 local popup vendors, boutiques, shops, restaurants, live music and food trucks. Come support local businesses.

In addition, the St. Cloud Women’s Club Heritage Museum is now open on St. Cloud’s Market Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

The 5th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, an event held by Help Now of Osceola, takes place on March 29, at 6 p.m. The Walk will start at St. Cloud City Hall. This event provides men the opportunity to help raise domestic abuse awareness by walking downtown St. Cloud wearing high heel shoes. The walk will go through St. Cloud’s downtown district, in conjunction with the monthly market.

Last Sunday’s Spring Market at Harmony was moved to this Sunday (March 26) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harmony Town Square. Vendors include fresh produce, spices, customized items, body care, candles, nutrition, local businesses, food trucks and more. For more information, email harmonyactivitydirector@gmail.com.

The 40th Annual Spring fling presented by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud will be held on Friday, Mar. 31st from 5-10 p.m. at the St. Cloud Lakefront. Starting at dusk (8 p.m.) the movie Lightyear will be shown. Bring chairs and blankets! Food trucks and popcorn will be onsite. The fun continues on Saturday, April 1 with the Spring Fling Bass Tournament. Check in at 5:30 a.m. at Chisholm Park, the weigh-in is at 2:30 p.m. To register, go to https://bit.ly/3n3DHhb.

Head to the Lakefront from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to enjoy beer and food vendors, crafters and other entertainment. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a car show and Touch a Truck area. Indulge in a wine tasting from 12-3 p.m.

While that’s going on, head to Veteran’s Park for the Downtown St. Cloud EGGstravaganza on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features balloon art, face paint, kids activities, scavenger hunt, caricatures and of course the Easter Bunny.
