Have you purchased your tickets for Friday’s Downtown St. Cloud Food and Art Festival? The Festival, from 5-9 p.m., is a night of walking downtown eateries and trying all their seasonal fare. In between samples enjoy local art vendors. Shops will be open late for your browsing.

The $30 tickets get you 10 samples. Tickets are available for pre purchase (Last years event sold out!) with limited availability the night of the Festival. The sampling map includes Chimentos Spaghetti House, John 3:16 Cafe, 10th Street Produce and Deli, Phyre Speakeasy and Steakhouse, Phyre GenX Pizzeria and Brewery, Island Cloud Grill, Pops Waffle and Ice Cream Shop, Cobblestone Courtyard, Garage Bar, The Dog House, La Fontaine French Macaroons, Sweet Spot Snowballs, Kuppa Thyme Tea Room and Gift Shop, Breeze St. Cloud, Old Fashion Cigar, Savvy Sweets, Bone Sack Cider and Beer and Granny’s Southern Smokehouse.

Operation Nerf Battle happens on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center. The fee is $10 per person. Register inperson or online at https://webtrac.stcloudfl.gov.

 

Calling all future Girl Scouts! There will be an information session at the St. Cloud Library on Monday, Sept. 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. This an opportunity to learn about Girl Scouts. Have you met Osceola’s new Superintendent of Schools yet? Dr. Mark Shanoff will be at our area schools – St. Cloud High School on Thursday, Sept. 21 and Harmony High on Tuesday, Sept. 26. All school district of Osceola County employees, parents, students and community members are invited to attend for cookies and conversation at this Meet and Treat. The times for both locations are 5-6 p.m. for SDOC employees and 6:15-7:15 for parents, students and community members.

 

A suicide prevention Lunch-and-Learn will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 27th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marina Banquet Hall, 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. This lunch and learn is presented by the City of St. Cloud, Devoted Health, Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Information provided includes learning the warning signs, risk factors and effective ways to communicate about suicide.

The Narcoossee History Chapter of Osceola History presents its Mosquito County Festival 2023 on Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Narcoossee Elementary School. This free event showcases local history exhibits, kid’s activities, music, food, vendors, baked goods and local history exhibits. For more information, call 407-443-3008.

 

Mural tours of historic St. Cloud take place on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. and leave from the St. Cloud Heritage Museum, 1012 Massachusetts Ave. Wear comfortable shoes for this one-hour tour.

The City of St. Cloud offers Fall Day Camps on days school is out — Friday, Sept. 22, Friday, Oct. 13 and Nov. 20-22 for ages 5-12. Daily hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The fee is $30 per child per day for City of St. Cloud residents and $40 for non-residents.
