Mother’s Day in the Park, presented by the City of St. Cloud and sponsored by AdventHealth, will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will be held at Peghorn Park and includes floral bouquets for all Moms, vendors, food trucks, Mimosa bar and board and brush workshop availability. The City of St. Cloud and St. Cloud Main Street will celebrate National Historic Preservation Month on Monday, May 15 from 6-8 p.m. at VFW Post 3227 (915 New York Ave.). The community is invited as a new awards and plaques program is unveiled. Guest speaker Maria Shreve will be speaking on the topic “Historic Preservation and Real Estate – What You Need to Know.” Learn about how you could potentially obtain a plaque for your historic home or how your property may be eligible for a historic preservation award. The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Update takes place on Wednesday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marina Banquet Hall. Reps. Paula Stark and Fred Hawkins will be the guest speakers. This event is sponsored by the City of St. Cloud, OUC, the Reliable One, Toho Water Authority and Osceola County, is free and open to the public.

Hey home schoolers – here’s an event just for you. The City of St. Cloud’s Summer Kickoff: Home School Edition will be on Friday, May 19 from 1-4 p.m. at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center on 17th Street. Enjoy lots of swimming, music, food and fun. The cost is $10 per participant. Register online at www. webtrac.stcloudfl.gov.
