Black History Month celebrates African American history, contributions and achievements. There are two events in St. Cloud in observance of Black History Month.
Granny’s Southern Smokehouse presents a Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1818 Pennsylvania Ave. Enjoy live entertainment, a car show, food trucks and vendors.
Also Saturday, join the city in A Community Day of Love on Saturday, Feb. 22nd from 12 to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Park. Enjoy music, local vendors, performances, giveaways and food trucks.
Children in Osceola County are off from school on Friday for Rodeo Day, and some parents may still need child care. The City of St. Cloud offers Rodeo Day Camp for children ages 5-12 with a cost of $30 for the day. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with early drop off at 7 a.m. and late pickup at 6 p.m. The Camp will be held at the St. Cloud Civic Center, 3001 17th St. To register, call 407-957-7243.
For the Mom Community: The MomCo is for every Mom from her first pregnancy to her last child finishing kindergarten. This group offers community and encouragement during this season of motherhood. The MomCo meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations and videos. You will get to have honest demonstrations with other Moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood. Join in on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Cloud Library.
St. Cloud Main Street is turning 25! Celebrate this special milestone with the St. Cloud Chamber’s Business After Hours on Monday, Feb. 24 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Cloud Main Street (903 Pennsylvania Ave. ) Enjoy an evening of fun, laughter and celebrating. This is not your typical networking event. It is a birthday bash with cake, balloons, wine and beer.
