The City of St. Cloud is currently accepting applications from residents who would like to volunteer to serve on Citizen Advisory Boards and Committees. Upcoming vacancies include the Community Redevelopment Agency, Economic Development Advisory Committee, Finance Committee, Historic preservation Board, Planning Commission, Recreation Advisory Committee, Tree Advisory Committee and Zoning Board of Adjustments.

The Second Annual Run for the Cherubs 5K and Walk benefitting Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies steps off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 from Lakefront Park. Race fees are $30 for 18 and over, $28 for ages 4-17. All proceeds benefit the hospital.

Thrive Thursday takes place on Feb. 2 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Hopkins Park (620 E. 17th St.). See healthy cooking demos, exercise routines and more to help find your best path to healthier happier you. This class is for ages 18 and up.

 

The Friends of St. Cloud Library invite everyone to a big weekend Book Sale. Sale hours are Feb. 9 from 1-8 p.m, Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stock up on childrens, teens and adult books. DVD’s are also included in this sale. The cost is $3 per bag (bring your own, or buy a Friends Bag for $2). Feed your reading habit while helping out a good cause.
