Each year, the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) celebrates our community’s with a Veterans Day Ceremony. This year’s is Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Poinciana Memorial Park (401 Walnut St.).
All are invited to attend this ceremony honoring the great men and women of our military. The event will begin with a Presentation of Colors followed by guest speakers commemorating this event. The ceremony concludes with a picnic of hot dogs, chips and a drink.
Solivita’s 20th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 395 Village Dr. The Festival includes 120+ artisans and craft vendors, live entertainment throughout the day, food and beverages at various locations, a wine, beer and art garden and a free Kidz Zone that will include arts and crafts, a stilt walker and a Drawing Board. This event is free and open to the public.
Poinciana Little League Spring 2022 registration will be from Nov. 28 through Jan. 31. The season runs from mid-Feb. 2022 to mid-May 2022. The fee is $125 per player — sibling discounts are available. Registration fee includes team jersey, hat and socks (parents will need to provide batting helmet, bat, glove, pants and cleats). Sponsorships from T-Mobile are available for those that qualify, along with paid Little League fees, free membership to a local batting cage ($150 value). Along with the registration fee parents need to provide a birth certificate, proof of residency or school enrollment.
Division ages are: T-ball, (ages 4-6), coach/machine pitch (6-8). player pitch (8-11); Majors (9-12), Juniors (12-14) and Seniors (13-16 and advanced players). Highlights of the organization include multi-level ability grouping, emphasis on fundamental development, team play and more.
