Osceola County has implemented school zone speed cameras in a two-phase rollout to enhance school safety. Horizon Middle, Liberty High, Sunrise Elementary, Bellalago Academy, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy, KOA Elementary and Deerwood Elementary are included in District 3. During the first 30 days, drivers will receive warnings, followed by official citations after that.
The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners has renewed Osceola Prosper, which enables 2025 Osceola County high school graduates to earn a free college or technical education degree with no out-of-pocket tuition cost. Students must be enrolled full-time or part-time to qualify.

Did you know that the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) has Friday Night Bingo every week? It is held at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.) Doors open at 6 p.m. with first ball called at 7 p.m. The cost is 10 games for $5, with a cash payout. Bingo supplies are on sale onsite and the concession stand is open throughout the evening (no outside food or drinks are allowed).
Friday Night Bingo is for adults ages 18 and over.
Spring registration is now open for Spring Soccer with the Polk County Futbol Club for players aged 8-16. The 2025 season starts Saturday, Mar. 1. Games take place at the Poinciana Community Park (5109 Allegheny Road).
