The 2023 Halloween House at 922 Dartmouth Court is lit! This elaborate display of lights is synchronized to music with new songs including Poppy’s Playhouse and Five Nights at Freddy’s (music accessed at 99.7 FM on your car radio). This free event is presented by Poinciana resident Rob Gallo. The Halloween House is on display every night from 7:30-9:30 p.m., with fire, fog and other effects on the weekends only. Enjoy this kickoff to Halloween – and make sure to come back for the Gallo Christmas display!

Speaking of the weekend, there’s plenty to do this one.

Southport Farmers Market (2001 E. Southport Road), opens Saturday, Oct. 21, and every third Saturday of the month through April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to fruits and vegetables, shop crafts, baked goods, plants, candles, honey, jam and jellies. Food trucks will also be onsite.

Liberty High School presents its 2023 Art Walk on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event features art, music, games, activities, food and beverages. There will be a special performance at 1 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $5, children under 3 are free.

Osceola County District 3 Commissioner Brandon Arrington, invites those in need to a Drive Thru Food Distribution on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (3880 Pleasant Hill Road). Meal packages will be distributed to the first 600 families while supplies last.

Cosmic STEAM Nights 2023 will be held at Osceola County Title 1 District Middle schools this fall. Step inside the Orlando Science Center’s Mobil Planetarium to view planets, constellations, galaxies and more. This free event gives students and families a hands-on STEAM activities experience. This is an opportunity to learn through Virtual Reality (VR) Robotic Spheros.

Cosmic STEAM night in the Poinciana area, will be on Thursday, Oct. 26th at Discovery Intermediate School, from 6-8 p.m. Space is limited to the first 200 participants.

This year’s Spooky Spectacular at the Poinciana Library, 101 N. Doverplum Ave., happens on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Children can dress up in costume and be part of the library’s Halloween extravaganza.

Adults may get in on the seasonal fun from 2-4 p.m. Day of the Dead Pottery discusses fascinating facts about the traditional Mexican holiday while designing a sugar skull potted plant. Supplies will be provided.

All Library activities are free and open to the public.

The Association of Poinciana Villages’s (APV) 8th Annual Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest takes place next Saturday, Oct. 28 from 6-10 p.m. at the Poinciana Activity Campus (445 Marigold Ave.) This Halloween Extravaganza features supplying treats, vendors supplying treats and food trucks. There still may be time to participate and volunteer for this event. The Haunted Asylum House is back! This will also be held at the Activity Campus on Saturday, Oct. 28th starting at 6 p.m. $1 gains you entry — if you dare!

Save the Date! The AVOS Fall Festival and Community Health Fair takes place on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1901 S. Poinciana Blvd. On-site will be bounce houses, face painting, balloon art, free food, raffle giveaways (giveaways include tablets, food baskets, give cards and more), carnival games, health screening and healthcare enrollment.
