HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is offering an online class – Ortho Pre-Surgery.  If you are having orthopedic surgery, the nursing team and physical therapist at the hospital will prepare you and your support person for your surgery and recovery process.  This is an ongoing virtual class. Call 407-530-2000 to receive the link for the session.

Just one week before Tax Day! AARP Foundation Tax – Aide provides tax consulting with several preparation options.  This service is free of charge, with special focus on those over 50 or have low to moderate income.  On Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tax – Aide will be at the Anthony DePalma Center (395 Marigold Ave.).  These services will be available in both English and Spanish. Appointments are required. To make an appointment, call 863-427-0900.

 

The 2026 Poinciana Scholarship Reception will be held on Tuesday, April 21 from 11:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Osceola Business Academy at Poinciana High School.  This year, the Poinciana Council will award scholarships of up to $1,500 to graduating High School Seniors and students currently enrolled in a Technical Education Program, 2- or 4-year degree program or a Masters Program at post-secondary educational institution scholarship.  Come celebrate local excellence, support the next generation of leaders and connect with educators, community leaders and change makers.  The reception includes lunch for $30. Secure your seat at www.bit.ly/PoincianaScholarshipLunch26.

 

Put on your boogie shoes!  The Association of Poinciana Village’s (APV) Disco Night Bingo hosted by Bibi Polanco from Humana takes place on Friday, April 24 at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.) The doors open at 6 p.m. and first ball drops at 7 p.m.  The cost is 10 games for $5 with cash prizes.  The concession will be open for food and beverages and basic Bingo supplies (no outside food or beverage allowed).  This event is for adults 18 and over.
