Virtual Event: A Home of Your Own, First Time Homebuyer – 2-Evening Classes — Nov. 1-2, 5-9 p.m.; $10 plus fees. This class addresses the ins and outs of buying/ building a home. Participants will learn how to prepare financially, select a home, negotiate price, review contract and what to expect at closing.
Starting Your Own Cottage Food Business – Online, Nov. 2, 6-8 p.m.; fee applies.
Cottage Foods are low-risk foods that you are allowed to make at home and sell. Florida Cottage Food law was recently revised, expanding opportunities for food entrepreneurs. Learn about these exciting new changes and how to start your own cottage food operation.
Wildlife Habitat, Nov. 19, 10-11 a.m., UF/ IFAS Extension Osceola County, OHP; $5 fee. With the rapid urban growth, the wildlife is losing some of the key plants. During class we would talk about the importance of adding plants in the garden to provide some food and shelter to the Florida Wildlife. Adding Color to Your Garden, Nov. 19, 1-2 p.m., UF/IFAS Extension Osceola County, $5 fee.
Color is a wonderful asset to a garden. During this class you are going to learn about low maintenance and Florida Friendly plants to add in your garden to add color.
