Calling all Osceola County civics-minded middle schoolers! Use your knowledge for a chance at recognition and cash prizes in the National Civics Bee.
The Osceola Chamber is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. The Bee and the Chamber promote greater civic knowledge in Florida and celebrating civic pride.
Students in sixth through eighth grade can enter -- submissions are due by the end of day Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Here's the details: Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student residing in Florida with an idea about using civics to improve their community may submit their essay to participate in one local competition in their state. Finalists will be invited to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Civics Bee® national championship in Fall 2025.
