The City of Kissimmee will be holding training classes this summer at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center. A community CPR/ AED Class for ages 13 and over will be held on July 11 from 6:15-10 pm. Cost is $60. Also, training to be a Junior Lifeguard will be held for 11-14 year olds July 3-28 during the day. Cost is $150. For more information on either program call 407-870-7665.

 

Among the many activities at the Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee this summer, check out the Family Movie Series on Friday afternoons at 2 p.m. Bring a blanket and a pillow from home and enjoy this week’s movie “Mulan”. Also at the Library, shed those PowerPoint presentation jitters! Prepare and share a short PowerPoint presentation on a fun topic of your choice as you exchange tips and tricks to elevate your skills, Thursday July 6 at 6 pm.

 

Don’t forget, fireworks will light up the sky July 4 at Lakefront Park in Kissimmee, the site of the City’s of Kissimmee’s annual Monumental Fourth of July Celebration. Attend live music performances on the Events Lawn throughout the afternoon and enjoy food from a variety of food trucks and vendors. Kids can play in the Kids’ Power Zone. Afternoon events start at 3 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled for about 9 p.m. (weather permitting).
