The City of Kissimmee will host its annual Employee Memorial Service on Friday at 10 a.m., to remember employees who have passed, including line of duty deaths, and honor those that have retired, at Kissimmee City Hall. Church Street in front of City Hall will be closed prior to and during the memorial.

The City of Kissimmee will offer Spring Break Camp for March 1317 at two locations: Oak Street Park Community Center (Camp Discovery) and Chambers Park Community Center (Camp All Star). The fee is $100. Participants can register by visiting kissimmee.gov or in-person at each spring break site.

Caitlin Fogerty will discuss ecological design for your plants this week at the Pine Lily Chapter meeting of the Florida Native Plant Society, Wednesday, March 15 at 6:15 p.m. at the Hart Memorial Library.

Other events at the Library include: A to Zines on Tuesday, March 14 from 6-7:30 p.m. Dive into the world of zines to discover the history of this self-published, non-commercial print work and learn how to create your own. Supplies provided.

The Influential Women in American Literature continues Thursday, March 16 at 6:30. This week’s discussion will focus on Toni Morrison. Choose any work by her to share in a roundtable discussion.

A reminder that the March for Meals St. Patrick’s 5K Run/Walk is in Lakefront Park this Saturday, March 11. Raceday registration starts at 6:45 a.m. for the 8 a.m. race at 201 Lakeview Drive, or find out more information at osceolagenerations.com. Lakeshore Boulevard and other area streets side streets will close for the road race.
