In partnership with the City of Kissimmee, Kissimmee Utility Authority will host its free Movie in the Park event Friday on the Veteran’s lawn at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. The event kicks off KUA’s annual 6-month Movie in the Park series held on the first Friday of every month, running through March.
It returns Friday for what should be a pleasant evening weather-wise. The movie will be Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon,” shown on a giant 50-foot screen. The movie will also feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Come for the movie, and stay for KUA’s inflatable Kids Power Zone, a craft station, photo booth, free popcorn, and prize giveaways. Onsite concessions will be available.
Through hands-on KUA demonstrations, attendees will also learn how to lower their monthly electric bills. The event begins 5:30 p.m., with the movie starting at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
