The Sunshine State Youth Association presents the Poinciana Wolf Pack Annual Car Show on Saturday, July 8 from 12-4 p.m. at Deerwood Park (4051 Laurel Ave.) If you have a vehicle you would like to enter, the registration fee is $25 (motorcycle/slingshots $20). There will also be food, local vendors and activities for the kids.
There are several categories to compete in. Trophies will be awarded to “the best of”. To register, call 321-346-8436.
Registration for Poinciana Little League Fall Ball 2023 is now open. Registration runs until September 10th with the season running from September to November (games begin the week of Sept. 25). Practice is one day a week.
Division ages are: tee ball, 4-6 year olds; baseball, 6-8, 8-12 and 13-16. Softball is 8-10, 11-12 and 13-16.

Cool off with a couple of flicks at the Poinciana Library. Strange World will be shown Friday, July 7 at 2 p.m. The legendary Clades are a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest and most crucial mission.
The second 2 p.m. matinee, Wall-E, is July 14. This movie takes place in the distant future where a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

Join Poinciana Library’s Creative Writing Workshop. Begin a new story or add on to a current one. Tackle different prompts and give and receive feedback. All skill levels are welcome and supplies are provided.
Create a new story off of a displayed image on Thursday, July 13 at 3:30 p.m. Create a short story using a prompt generator on Thursday, July 27 at 3:30 p.m.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites Polk County residents to participate in and online Virtual Interactive Workshop for the SunRail Extension Study to Polk County.
