Whatever Celebration’s Tyler Osorio and Coach Joel Fox discussed at the 3A-6 district track meet Wednesday worked: Osorio won two events and the Storm claimed their first-ever track title.

Osceola, led by four-time state champion Tynia Gaither, dominated the sprints and Liberty’s Kelila Naules won three individual championships at the 4A-4 district track meet Thursday at Winter Park.
Winter Park (128) edged Colonial (125) for the girls championship, just ahead of Liberty (106) and Osceola (100). Gateway (25) was eighth at the 10-team meet. One male from Osceola County, Liberty pole vaulter Guelmi Salgado (12-6), won a district championship.
Colonial (154.5) won the boys championship over Boone (110.5). Liberty (60) was fifth, Osceola (57) sixth and Gateway (34) eighth.
Gaither won the 100 (11.87) and 200 (24.05) sprints, and led the 4 x 100 relay (47.25) to a title with Atarah Clark, Jodiann Crooks and Jameshia Gant. Gant won the 100 hurdles (14.69).
Liberty’s Naules and teammates Kadijah Brown and Danyell Kates dominated the jumping events.
Naules won the high jump (5-2), long jump (17-5.25) and triple jump (36-3) titles. Brown was second in the high jump (5-0), third in the long jump (17-4) and fourth in the triple jump (33-0). Kates finished second in the triple jump (36-2.5) and third (5-0) in the high jump.
The three jumpers teamed with Jazmyne Duarte to place third (49.57) in the 4 x 100.
Charnelle Michel (114-4) won the discus for Gateway.
Also qualifying for the regional meet Wednesday at Winter Park are:
Osceola’s girls: Clark, 100, 200, long jump; Vallerie Norgaisse. 300 hurdles; Jamecia Daniels, discus; 4 x 400 (Norgaisse, Crooks, Charlie Muzeka, Chelsea Thomas); 4 x 800 (Norgaisse, Thomas, Jasmine Ramos, Kaylin Woodring).
Liberty’s girls: Kates, 100; Bethany Powell, 300 hurdles; Yliana Santiago, pole vault; Kalmalia-Kalee Sada, shot put; Stephanie Docsol, shot put.
Osceola’s boys: Defario Phillips, 100, 200; Oscar McGee, 100; Marquis Hegwood, 40.96; Jared Mullins, high jump; Marion Brown, triple jump; Kenny Martin, pole vault, 4 x 400 relay.
Liberty’s boys: Robbie Johnroe, 800; Divante Bedford, 110 hurdles; Joey Graham, pole vault
Gateway’s boys: Bryan Cudjoe, 800; Adeeb Zaman, 110 hurdles; 4 x 800 relay (Cudjoe, Carlos Espinol, Edison Velez, Josh Rivera).
Poinciana competed at the 2A-2 regional at Lake Highland Prep Thursday.
The girls 4 x 400 relay of Estelle Esperance, Majjdah Barnett, Gabrielle Rodriguez and Kenina Bonner ran 4:10 to finish third and qualify for next Saturday’s Class 2A state meet at Winter Park. Bonner was fourth in the triple jump.
Joey Decomo qualified for the state meet at 200 meters for the boys.
