Softball dedication

All alumni, former players and boosters are invited to Osceola High’s softball field Friday when the complex will be dedicated in honor of Coach George Coffey.

A ceremony renaming the complex “Coffey Field” will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Osceola will play Trinity Prep, coached by Kathleen Finnucan.

Osceola High assistant coaches Fred Klammer and George Hill also will be recognized for their service to the OHS softball program.

Anyone wearing Kowboy softball shirts, jackets and uniforms will be admitted free.

State cheer

The Florida High School Athletic Association’s Competitive Cheerleading state championships continue today at the Silver Spurs Arena at Heritage Park.

Harmony, Liberty, Osceola and Gateway will compete.
