HUNT – Elmer Lewis “Pete” Hunt, 84, of Kissimmee, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007.  Born Aug. 27, 1923 in Syracuse, NY, Pete came to Kissimmee in 1930. 
He was retired owner operator of Hunt Bros.  He also served as an Executive Officer for several local Real Estate Firms.  He was a decorated veteran of the Army having served during WWII.  Pete was a life member of the Silver Spurs having been honored as Coca-Cola Cowboy and “Big Boss;” life member of Lions Club; Past President of Osceola Cancer Society; and a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder of 35 years. 
Pete is survived by his wife of 58 years Beulah; nephews, Howard, Randy, Robbie Hunt, Mike Dietrick and a niece, Karen Bachenski. 
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Kissimmee followed by funeral services at 2 P.M., Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church, Kissimmee.  Interment will be in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Green Isle Girls Ranch, First Presbyterian Church-Kissimmee or Hospice of the Comforter. Hughes – Raymond Hughes, 78, of Kissimmee died on Monday November 19, 2007. Born on June 30, 1929 in Ecorse, MI to James and Alma Hughes. He was a steelworker for thirty years.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Kissimmee. Daughters Renee Hughes and Ann Marie Chadwick of Cleveland, TN. Stepson John Corn (Barbara) of Land O’ Lakes, Fla. Brothers Richard Hughes of Riverview, MI, Tom Hughes of Fredericksburg, TX, Bob Hughes of Ft. Lauderdale, FLA. Sisters Margaret Brogan of Youngsville, NC, and Arlene LaLonde of Barstow, CA. 6 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark Hughes and his stepson Frank Corn and stepdaughter Molly Ann Kutcher Corn.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 from 4 to 8pm at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church officiated by Father Chris Hoffman with Burial in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee, Fla. SPENCE – Ruth Annie Yates Spence, 94, of Kissimmee, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007.  Born June 22, 1913 in Kissimmee, Ruth was the daughter of John Quincy Adam and Lenora Lamb Yates and member of a Pioneer Osceola County family.  
She was a Citrus Grower and homemaker. Having lived most of her life in Osceola County, Ruth was founding director of the Spence-Lanier Pioneer Enrichment Center sponsored by Osceola County Historical Society.  She was a member of Shingle Creek United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Always active in her community until failing health, Ruth will also be remembered as having volunteered with the Shingle Creek 4-H Club and the Osceola County Extension Service working with many young people.  
Preceded in death by her husband, Carl; Ruth is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann; son, William Carl “Bill;” sisters, Maxine Yates Tanner and Dorothy Yates Smith; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  
Memorial services will be held 4 P.M., Saturday, Dec. 1 at Shingle Creek United Methodist Church.  In lieu of any flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Osceola County Historical Society designated for the Pioneer Center or Shingle Creek United Methodist Church or Florida Methodist Children’s Home.  OSCEOLA MEMORY GARDENS CEMETERY, FUNERAL HOMES AND
