A man who said he was a recruit with the Polk County Correctional Institute was arrested for burglarizing a home in Celebration Saturday morning, looking for a “lady friend” to seduce.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 111 Grace Ave. in Celebration at around 5:35 a.m. The homeowner said he and his wife were sleeping when they heard someone knocking at the front door.

A stranger at the door asked for directions. After they gave him directions, he drove away.

The homeowner said he heard the loud muffler of the stranger's car about 20 minutes later and noises outside his house, including what sounded like someone trying to jiggle the door handle. Deputies, after arriving at the home, found damage to the front door and window.

Several blocks away, deputies looking for the burglary suspect found 25-year-old Christopher Blandin, who was taken into custody. During the resulting interview, Blandin told deputies that he hadn't slept or eaten since the previous day and was having problems with his girlfriend. He said he got lost in Celebration and knocked on doors of three homes, hoping to get a woman to the door so he could seduce her, according to the Sheriff's Office report. He said his hormones were confusing him, and told deputies that he had thought about forcing himself on one woman.

Deputies charged him with burglary and criminal mischief, booking him into the Osceola County Jail.
