BLACKSHEAR - Frank Augustus Blackshear, Sr., 89, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 24, 2008.
Born the youngest of three children in New York, NY, he was educated in the Savannah, Georgia public school system. He graduated from Beach High School in Savannah and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College New York in 1972. He then received his Masters of Science in Education from Long Island University New York in 1975. He continued his involvement in scouting as an adult volunteer, and was an active member of Brooks Memorial Methodist Church in Jamaica, Queens, NY. He retired from the New York school system in 1989 and, with his wife, moved to Kissimmee in 2001. Frank enjoyed reading the newspaper and participating in a lively debate over current events.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elsie Singfield Blackshear; sons Frank A. Blackshear, Jr. (Tina) of Kissimmee, Leonard Blackshear, who preceded Frank Sr. in death and his widow, Patsy of Annapolis, MD, Dwight Blackshear of Santa Rosa, CA and George Blackshear (Larraine) of Winsor, SC; daughters Elsie Chapman of New Haven, CT, Carmen B. Shortt of Queens, NY, Nannearl Blackshear of Brooklyn, NY, Sister Dorothy Carter of Savannah, GA, brother Nathaniel Blackshear, Jr. who preceded Frank, plus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation for Frank is  Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home, Kissimmee, Florida. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of the deceased may be sent to The Boy Scouts of America, Coastal Empire Council, 11900   Abercorn St., Savannah, GA, 31419. (912)927-7272

BRACK - Mrs. Victoria Lee Brack, age 51, of St. Cloud, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Brack was born in Orange County, Florida and has lived in Central Florida for many years. She was Chief Deputy Registrar for Osceola County Vital Statistics Office. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Brack, mother, Dorlores Poole, brother, Joseph Allan Poole, sisters, Deborah Poole Morris, Elizabeth Poole, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 7 p.m. in Chapel of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
