Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee named an interim CEO after former hospital leader Kathryn Gillette announced her resignation March 7.

Robert “Bob” Krieger will serve as interim CEO as the Hospital Corporation of America facility looks for Gillette’s replacement.

Peter Marmerstein, President of HCA West Florida, thanked Gillette in a statement “for the leadership she provided to Osceola Regional Medical Center through a period of significant expansion and we wish her well as she pursues new opportunities.”

Krieger has managed several hospitals during his 20 years in healthcare, Marmerstein said.

According to reports, Gillette accepted the position as CEO of Bayfront Medical Center, a 480-bed facility in St. Petersburg. She will begin at her new role April 1.
