Why criticize?

To the Editor:

Reading the article from Dec. 15, it got me thinking about Mr. Goldmacher and his criticism about elected officials and others in Osceola County.

It seems he’s always trying to find an opportunity to bash people like Brandon Arrington whenever he gets a chance. Mr. Goldmacher should really start looking at himself before he starts to criticize anyone else.

After looking back at his dismal performance at the Gaylord Palms debate, Goldmacher proved one thing he’s capable of doing which is not being able to debate himself out of a paper bag.

Let’ look at this past election. He holds the Osceola County record for the lowest amount of votes received by any one candidate in an November election.

Even the Republicans ran away from this guy at the voting booth,  They either didn’t vote or gave their vote to his Democratic opponent.  The numbers speak volumes.  So who is he to criticize?

Taking back our country

To the Editor:

The lobbyist in our Capital and state governments are now patrolling and controlling the men who were elected to guard and uphold the wishes of the citizens of this country. These men are sweeping our country like a swarm of Locust, picking the bones of all good intentions. They collectively seek only the wishes of the big companies and special interest groups who want to run our lives. They disregard our innate rights for justice by bringing chaos, ignoring the wishes of this country to be governed as it was intended by our fore-fathers, “By the people, for the people.”

Like a bird that hatches eggs it did not lay, is the way of these men who are gaining great riches by unearned means. There are reflections in this country that our once “good life” has deserted us. In the end we will be proven blind and striped naked of the liberty all Americans were promised.

Speak up my fellow citizens, pick up your pen, speak and write from the deep goodness lying dormant in your heart, for justice to again prevail. Look, see the handwriting on the wall as the great King of the Old Testament read, when God took His finger and wrote “your country shall be destroyed,” and it was, “because you went uncaring about your life.” You let the government build a fence around you, bringing you to live under rules and regulations you do not recognize, void of true prosperity, goodness and a land of integrity.

As once in our country a man cried out “The British are coming, the British are coming.” We must lift our head, lift our voice and cry out “Our citizens are coming to take back our country.”
