The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Tampa Bay Cybercrime and High Tech Squad, the Orlando Regional Operations Center and the Altamonte Springs Police Department recently arrested Bryan Jones, 28, in Seminole County.

Jones is charged with five counts of sexual performance by a child, lewd and lascivious battery, prohibited use of a computer service and two counts of traveling to meet a minor for sex.

The investigation began after FDLE received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTip line. It revealed that Jones allegedly enticed a 15-year-old Lake County girl to electronically send him pornographic pictures of herself and subsequently met her in Seminole County where they had sex. Jones was also communicating with a 16-year-old Osceola County teen and solicited her for explicit photos. He communicated with both teens through text messaging.

Jones was booked into Seminole County Correctional Facility and his bond was set at $10,700. This case will be prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution. The investigation continues.

If you have information about Bryan Jones and this case, contact FDLE’s Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center at 813-878-7300.

FDLE is an active member of the three Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces in Florida. The ICAC task forces were created solely to investigate Internet crimes against children that include the online sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
