As part of a continuing construction project near ChampionsGate, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close ChampionsGate Boulevard (County Road 532) in both directions under Interstate 4 nightly from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. this week, May 11-15 (Yes, if you're reading this Monday, this starts TONIGHT.)
The dual left-turn lanes at the I-4 eastbound and I-4 westbound off-ramps (Exit 58) to C.R. 532 will also be closed. The remainder of the ramp movements at the I-4/ChampionsGate interchange will be unaffected by this closure.
The closure allows work crews to set bridge beams as part of the superstructure activities to extend and expand the I-4 westbound bridge deck over C.R. 532.
To get past the closure, exiting I-4 westbound traffic will use ChampionsGate Boulevard, Ronald Reagan Parkway and Lake Wilson Road. Exiting I-4 eastbound traffic will use that pattern in reverse. Drivers looking to use I-4 ramps that involve going under the interstate will use the same detour.
