Congratulations to Arrington’s Athletes of the Week winners Anderson Olea of Gateway High School and Karolyna Adams of St. Cloud High School. Olea, a distance track athlete who has set GHS school records in 5K cross country and the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in track, and Adams, who graduates as a six-time FHSAA regional tournament and four-time state tournament qualifier, earned $2,500 scholarships from Osceola County. Nominated as Athletes of the Week by the News-Gazette, Olea and Adams were chosen by online voters as the Athletes of the Year to receive the scholarships.
