FHP: Minivan runs through fence into a Celebration lake; driver drowns

A 71-year-old Pittsburgh man drowned Tuesday afternoon after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say his vehicle left a parking spot and went into a lake in Celebration.

According to the FHP report, at around 3:37 p.m. the driver was backing a Chrysler Pacifica out of a parking spot on Bloom Street near Front Street. For an unknown reason, the vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a curb and a fence before entering the lake and becoming submerged in the water.
