Sanford man killed in I-4 crash in Osceola County

A Sanford man was killed on Interstate 4 inside Osceola County on Wednesday, after he crashed into another car. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Eduardo Natal, 74, was driving a 2006 Ford pick-up truck eastbound on 1-4 in the right lane at about 9:30 a.m.

There are some “bad people” out there who are using the coronavirus scare to scam people out of their money, Osceola Sheriff Russ Gibson said. On March 19, there were suspects in the Poinciana area posing as American Red Cross workers going from home to home, offering COVID-19 tests for a fee.

In light of dry conditions throughout the county that have sent our Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) over 500, Osceola County is instituting a burn ban for all types of outside burning, including open fire pits, campfires, and yard debris within the unincorporated areas of Osceola County.
