Call it a new version of “Eat, Pray, Love.” Melissa and Melvin Cotton, of St. Cloud, are providing platefuls of some physical and spiritual nourishment with their cooking show, “Faith & Food,” which is streaming on YouTube.

County to start fining violators for not wearing facemasks

The Osceola County Commission passed a mandate on Monday that could fine residents up to $50 if they refuse to wear face coverings. Committing a first offense will draw a warning from law enforcement. A second and third offense will cost violators $25. A fourth offense will increase to $50.

County planning road resurfacing project

Osceola County officials are advising the public about an upcoming road-resurfacing project. The road is Five Oaks Drive from U.S. Highway 192 to Schoolhouse Road. The project is expected to last from Tuesday, July 21, through Friday, July 31.   Work will be performed daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to a city press release, the changes will assist the division with route optimization and will have a cost savings of $45,000 annually.

Florida Department of Health extends COVID-19 testing in Osceola

The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County (FDOH-Osceola) is extending community COVID-19 testing at Osceola Heritage Park located at 1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee. Testing will be offered Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, from 8 a.m.

St. Cloud officials warn residents about water scam

The city of St. Cloud has received information from residents about a company or individuals going door-to-door telling customers that their drinking water contains e-coli and is unsafe to drink. Customers have said the individuals have some type of literature with the city’s logo.
