City Council votes to purchase Hastings Ranch

The St. Cloud City Council voted Thursday night to purchase Hastings Ranch, a 219-acre park that includes an event facility, greenspace and a lake. “With this vote, the City Council prioritized greenspace and the environment over houses and highways,” City Manager William Sturgeon said.

The Kissimmee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night. According to a police press release, the shooting happened at approximately 8:48 p.m. The Kissimmee Police Department responded to the shooting in the area of Brack Street and East Cypress Street.

By Andrew Sullivan On Friday, Sept. 11, the crew of Osceola County Fire Rescue’s Ladder 64 completed a stair climb event to honor the memory of the first responders killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Appointments are not required for these testing events and walk-ups will be accommodated. Those seeking testing are asked to wear a mask and bring a pen to complete paperwork.
