Publix now opening COVID-19 vaccination appointments to Osceola residents

Publix is now opening appointments to administer the Moderna COVID‑19 vaccine to eligible individuals in Osceola County. “With the addition of doses provided by the federal government, we are able to offer more Florida residents the opportunity to be vaccinated,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones.

St. Cloud woman killed in motorcycle crash Sunday

A St. Cloud woman was killed on Sunday after he was thrown from the motorcycle she was riding. The woman was traveling eastbound on Hickory Tree Road, near Nursery Road at about 2:15 p.m., when for an unknown reason lost control of the motorcycle, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

A Kissimmee man was arrested on Saturday after he shined a laser pointer into a Florida Highway Patrol aircraft. Guillermo Negron Roque, 47, was charged with pointing a laser light at a driver or pilot. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the FHP pilot J.C.
