Sewer project to close Forest Ave. at Emmett in downtown Kissimmee

Toho Water Authority is announcing a closure to thru traffic at the intersection of S Forrest Ave and W Emmett St starting Wednesday, September 15, at approximately 9 a.m. (please see map). The closure is necessary to conduct a sewer rehabilitation project in the area.

St. Cloud top cop Gauntlett announces Dec. 31 retirement

St. Cloud Police Chief Pete Gauntlett, who has held that post since March 2010, revealed at Thursday night’s City Council meeting that he will be retiring from the St. Cloud Police Department effective Dec. 31, 2021.

Osceola County continues addressing food insecurity

Cars lining up along Buenaventura Boulevard when it’s still dark to attend a food giveaway has become almost routine or habit. The need for food for some families in Osceola County district 2 has been a concern even before March 2020.

Public meeting Tuesday on Poinciana Blvd. widening project

Osceola County will hold a public information meeting regarding the Poinciana Boulevard Widening Project on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.) will host the meeting beginning at 6 pm.
