Eagle Scout completes wilderness preserve project despite COVID-19 concerns

An Eagle Scout project, by definition, is to demonstrate the ability to “plan, develop and provide leadership on a project for the benefit of the community.” The idea is to show a teenager the challenges and pitfalls of leadership and coordination of such a project.

Gateway’s MCJROTC earns coveted Naval Honor School for second year

Sheriff’s program to track missing residents a potential Lifesaver

It’s a heart-stopping moment no family should go through: a family member with a cognitive impairment — commonly elderly residents and children or adults with disabilities  — goes missing. Police are notified, and they put the call out to the community to help find this family member.
