The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program, designed to help Floridians in over 50 critical professions, like first responders, purchase their first home, goes into effect this month. Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the launch last week. It was a top priority of Florida Realtors® this year.

Upcoming road projects on Neptune Road, Cyrils Drive

Osceola County has announced a pair of road projects that will impact many drivers in the coming week. A lane closure is scheduled for eastbound traffic on Neptune Road  Monday through Friday, June 6-10.

Kissimmee Fire Department to debut Tele911

The Kissimmee Fire Department will be one of the first departments in Florida to work with a new system that integrate telemedicine and patient navigation into its Emergency Medical Services.

Sheriff: Man arrested in Kissimmee after Wednesday carjacking in Poinciana

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies took down a carjacking suspect Wednesday in Poinciana, who reportedly told them he carjacked a vehicle so he could get heroin. Hector Saul Pastor-Leon, 53, was arrested and charged with felony carjacking and resisting arrest without violence.

Community aids St. Cloud Veteran

Brian Sunderland, a four-year Air Force veteran, was going through a rough patch in life. A fractured pelvis left him with mobility issues, and he was forced to sleep on his front porch, the only area of his state street home he was able to access.
