St. Cloud Police’s inaugural Community Day event was designed to be family-friendly and provide an opportunity for great interaction for the public with the various department units, like S.W.A.T., Emergency Services, and Explorers. The St. Cloud Fire Department, Parks and Recreation, and the Osceola County Sheriff were also on hand.
Children and seniors could create a QR Code data package with fingerprints and photos to aid in missing person searches. Of course, no law enforcement community event is complete without a special appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog.
Demonstrations included riding skill drills by two officers of the Traffic division and a drone demonstration narrated by Police Chief Douglas Goerke.
