City of Kissimmee holds second food distribution event

The city of Kissimmee held its second food distribution event on Thursday, May 21, at the Public Works Service Center, 2201 Mabbette St. from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The event, coordinated by the city provided fresh produce from Mick Farms and beans and rice and other food items from Goya Foods for four to five days. The event served a total of 500 people; 350 were preregistered through nonprofit groups, while the 150 were others who drove up looking for food.
