Double C Bar Ranch Blueberries opened last weekend. This blueberry U-pick-‘em farm is a fun filled day out in the country about 15 miles south of St. Cloud at 4200 Canoe Creek Road on the way down to Kenansville. In addition to the $6 per pound blueberries, there are oak-fire grilled burgers, fresh lemonade, jams and jellies, desserts and a farm store with asserted gifts available to tantalize your taste buds.

The farm is scheduled to be open Saturdays and Sundays (excluding Easter Sunday and Mother’s Day) through May 19, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12-4 p.m. Homeschool Day is Wednesday, April 17.

Easter in the Park 2024 will be on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. at 1402 Lakeshore Blvd.

This free event features Easter bunny photos, face painting, food trucks, a DJ, animal petting zoo and Easter egg hunt (1 p.m._ for children up to age 13.

Also on Saturday, be sure to check out Spring Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Park. The fee of $10 per person includes an egg hunt, crafts, games and a visit from the Easter bunny.

And, if you want to get out of town a bit, the 10th Annual Kenansville Swamp Cabbage Festival takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (parade starts at 10 a.m.). Enjoy family friendly country fun with craft vendors, raffles, bounce house and the choice of barbeque chicken, ribs or sliced beef with beans, coleslaw, swamp cabbage and cabbage fritters for just $15. Additional vendors are welcome–contact Venita Crawford at 407873-2432. The Swamp Cabbage Festival will be held at 1180 S. Canoe Creek Road (Kenansville’s old school house).

 

Dance into the world of interactive story telling with Books & Ballet on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Library. The Orlando Ballet will be presenting this in celebration of Women’s History Month. This story time is for ages 6-11.

 

Calling all fishing enthusiasts! The Rotary Club of St. Cloud’s Spring Fling Bass Tournament takes place on Saturday, April 6 on the waters of East Lake Toho at Chisolm Park. Tournament check in is at 5:30 a.m. Register at https://form.jotform. com/240123517671147.
