There will be a Thanksgiving Food Giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m., sponsored by Iglesia Metodista Alas de Aguila-Poinciana. The church will be handing out bags of nonperishable food at 401 Walnut St. These bags include oil, rice, beans, cans of yams and other goods. Learn Microsoft Word Basics at the Poinciana Library on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 10-1 a.m. Develop your skills-learn how to create, save and print word processing documents. Build a table and convert MS Word documents to a PDF. Students will also learn the fundamentals of creating professional documents such as letters, resumes, including font selection, spacing and use of bullets.
Also on the 21st, Sensory Playdate takes place on from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Explore the five senses with sensory activities that benefit all children but are of particular help to those on the autism spectrum or those with sensory integration challenges.
