Did you suffer property damage from Hurricane Milton, and worried your insurance company won't provide a whole recovery?
Since a number of Florida counties have secured a major disaster declaration from Milton from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Individual Assistance and Public Assistance (Categories A and B), which is assistance to residents and households is available. To be eligible for federal aid, storm damage and losses from the hurricane and flooding must have occurred because of Hurricane Milton.
The State Assistance Information Line is now open and accepting calls 24/7 with English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole speakers available at 1-800-342-3557. Those who suffered Milton-related damages are encouraged to register with FEMA online at DisasterAssistance.gov, on the FEMA Mobile App, or by calling 800-621-3362 (FEMA). Residents must file a claim with their private insurance company first. If that insurance doesn't cover your claim, they may apply for FEMA assistance, as should those without insurance.

- Description of damage/lost items
- Photos of damaged home and belongings
- Information about insurance coverage
