A Davenport woman was killed early Tuesday morning when Florida Highway Patrol investigators say her car struck another head-on in the Reunion area.
Old Lake Wilson Road was closed due to the investigation for much of the overnight hours and reopened around 6:30 a.m.
Troopers say that around 12:25 a.m. a 20-year-old Indialantic man was headed northbound on Old Lake Wilson near Spine Road, and lost control of his Honda Accord. According to the report, the car headed into the southbound lanes and struck the 46-year-old victim's Nissan Centra, who was headed southbound. She was pronounced deceased on scene; the Honda driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries in serious condition.
Troopers say the crash remains under investigation.
