OCIB discovers 67 plants in Kissimmee grow house
Osceola County Investigative Bureau (OCIB) agents uncovered a marijuana grow house on Rustic Drive, off of Boggy Creek Road in Kissimmee, on Friday.
Jose Farinas, 34, was charged with trafficking in cannabis and cultivation of cannabis.
Sixty-seven marijuana plans were confiscated from a house on Rustic Drive.
The investigation began when agents received a tip about illegal drug activity at 3170 Rustic Drive. Agents searched the residence on Friday and found a two-room grow house with 67 marijuana plants nearly four and half feet tall and 30 pounds each.
The investigation is ongoing, with additional charges pending.
The Osceola County Investigative Bureau is a multi-agency task force working in conjunction with the State Attorney’s Office and comprised of Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies, St. Cloud Police Department officers, Kissimmee Police Department officers and Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents who investigate vice, narcotics and organized crime.
