A key construction milestone was achieved Thursday when a “topping out” ceremony took place at the Orlando Health’s St. Cloud Hospital.

The St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department held a pinning and promotional ceremony on Monday to swear into service 11 new firefighters, a new Deputy Chief of Professional Standards, and to promote three current staff to new, key roles.

Last week the staff of the Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Department welcomed Emergency Medical Services first responders from the St. Cloud and Osceola County Fire Departments to tour their recently expanded emergency room.

On Saturday, St. Cloud Police arrested the man who captains the Toho River Boat Adventures and his girlfriend after a report that they had sexual relations with a 17-year-old company employee living with them.

Crews contracted with Toho Water Authority will be flushing water lines in targeted areas of the City of St. Cloud Nov. 4-8.The map attached shows the area — neighborhoods on the east side of Michigan Avenue between Nolte Road and Royal St.

Toho Water Authority is again flushing water lines for quality and clarity on the east side of town after Hurricane Milton threatened to do the work on its own.The work, starting Monday, will be in an area along Hickory Tree Road just south of Nolte Road.
