ST. CLOUD NEWS — Martin Luther King Day of Service information

Monday, Jan. 20 is the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. As part of the National Day of Service.  Join the City of St. Cloud on Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hopkins Park (620 E. 17th St.)  Honor Dr. King’s legacy through service.  Together with others come help clean up the neighborhood, replant and refresh the community garden and beautify Hopkins Park.  Wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. For more information, call 407-892-8511.

 

Rescue Alert! Osceola County Animal Services (3910 Old Canoe Creek Road) has lots of dogs in the shelter.  Adoptions are just $20 and no appointment is needed.  Just stop by the Osceola County Services and find your forever friend.

 

Downtown St. Cloud presents the Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 5-9 p.m.  This festive evening features pop-up vendors, food trucks, music and fun for the kids.  There will be plenty of winter themed photo ops available, snow effects and a guest appearance from Frosty.  Face painting and hair tinsel will be available.  Downtown shops will be open extended hours for the evening.

 

Thinking of ways to keep warm this chilly month?  Try Oak Aged Farm’s bottle feeding and cuddle time with baby goats!  Spend an hour at this beautiful farm cuddling baby goats and their moms.  You might leave feeling rejuvenated and warm. Oak Aged Farm is located at 2385 Absher Road.
