Wednesday: The Osceola Magic defeated the Iowa Wolves, 142-124, at the Silver Spurs Arena Wednesday night, securing a first-round bye in the NBA G League playoffs with the win. It was a bounce-back from a loss to Iowa Monday where the Magic turned the ball over 24 times.

For a third consecutive year and fifth time in the last seven, St. Cloud is the Orange Belt Conference boys weightlifting team champions. Friday, the Bulldogs won both the Olympic (clean-and-jerk plus snatch) and traditional (clean-and-jerk plus bench press) titles at Harmony’s Butler Gym.

The Osceola Magic had an eventful road trip to Alabama this week ahead of a week-long home stand that will mark the end of the regular season.But that's not the end of the season, as the Magic (21-9) have clinched a spot in the NBA G League playoffs in April.

A new format is in store at the Orange Belt Conference tennis tournaments, which start Saturday morning at the Kissimmee Oaks Courts. The championship round is Tuesday at Celebration High School at 4 p.m.

Tohopekaliga scored all the runs they needed Friday in the third inning, and Tyler Sheffield and Ellian Urena combined on a six-hitter and as the Tigers (6-1) took a huge 3-1 baseball road win over previously undefeated Lake Nona (5-1).
