Osceola rides big defensive plays in 17-9 win at Lake Mary

Four turnovers and just enough offense helped Osceola defeat Lake Mary on Friday – and for the first time ever – 17-9 on the road Friday night.The Kowboys (2-1) held the Rams (1-1) to five yards of offense in the first half of a game delayed two hours by lightning.

Poinciana outlasts feisty Harmony, 19-0

For most of the game, Poinciana seemed to have a hard time getting out of its own way of an undermanned and youthful – but gamey – Harmony football team.

It’s a non-district game between two teams that compete in different classes, but Friday night’s matchup of Osceola (1-1) at Lake Mary (1-0) could have major playoff implications for both teams in November.

Orlando City leads, trails, then draws after late Spicer strike

Orlando City SC lost a two-goal lead in five minutes Wednesday night. It took Tyrese Spicer one swing of his left foot to get a point back.The Lions and Minnesota United FC finished in a 3-3 draw at Allianz Field in a match that turned twice and settled nothing. Orlando led 2-0 through 70 minutes.

Gateway’s defense stopped a two-point conversion with under two minutes remaining to lead the Panthers to a 13-12 win over Lake Minneola in its first season-opening win since 2022.
