A Rodeo Saturday Night in Osceola!

Saturday’s big-hit fall rodeo, Boots, Bulls and Barrels, played to a sellout Silver Spurs Arena crowd Saturday night. Cowboys rode bulls and broncs, and the ladies mounted their fiery horses to whisk around the barrels course in under 16 seconds.

A sunny Florida fall day gave Viva Osceola, the largest Hispanic Festival in Osceola County, the picture-perfect background to celebrate the rich tapestry of Hispanic music, culture, folklore and mouthwatering cuisine, and giving local businesses a chance to show off their wares at Lakefront Park.

A year ago — the epic flood that was Ian

We never thought we'd see water like that. It wasn't wind damage, like in Punta Gorda or Cape Coral, or storm surge like in Fort Myers Beach. Hurricane Ian dropped 17 inches of rain on a good part of Osceola County in 30 hours on Sept. 28-29 ... and we woke to scenes like these that Friday.

Saturday, the St.Cloud Chamber of Commerce held its annual Gala event, with this year’s theme, Discovering the Gems of St. Cloud. At the annual event, the Chamber welcomes its newest chair of the Board of Directors, for which the man receiving the esteemed gavel is noteworthy.

Fans of comic books, magazines, toys, cosplay and Sci-Fi fun turned out Saturday for the annual Fandom Kissimmee event at the Kissimmee Civic Center, where characters from comics, TV, film, and games came alive.
