Voters in Osceola County head to the polls on or before Aug. 20—early voting begins Monday, Aug. 5—and last week at Osceola Heritage Park, the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce brought candidates and voters together to Osceola Heritage Park to get each familiar with each other.

Red, White, Blue and You on the 4th

Tens of thousands turned out last week for 4th of July celebrations in Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Celebration, Poinciana, and at Old Town and the theme parks. Weather normal to Floridians didn't damper the fun an frolic, as music, food and of course fireworks marked the holiday in grand style.

Happy Juneteenth — a day to celebrate culture in Kissimmee

Juneteenth commemorates the liberation of enslaved people in the U.S. It was first celebrated on June 19, 1865, in Texas a few months after the Civil War ended and the Emancipation Proclamation could be communicated to the corners of the country.

Kissimmee's Pridefest block party returns

The annual Pridefest block party returned to downtown Kissimmee Saturday, with food and craft vendors, local artists, and activities like the Lady GaGa Tribute Band and “Let’s Keep Dancing” competition keeping partygoers entertained.

Last week at Osceola County School for the Arts and Osceola Heritage Park, thousands of School District of Osceola County high school graduates walked across the stage and grasped their diplomas, validating 13 years of hard work, sacrifices and accomplishments. It was truly their day.
