A 30-year-old Kissimmee man has died after Florida highway Patrol troopers say he collided with the rear of an SUV that then fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at Shader Road and Aquablue Court in the west Orlando part of Orange County. Troopers say the motorcyclist on his 2019 Suzuki failed to slow for a Chevrolet Tahoe that was slowing down, and struck the back of the Tahoe. The impact caused the motorcyclist to fall off the Suzuki.
The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. While the other vehicle fled, troopers say a witness provided a tag number that led investigators to find the vehicle parked and unoccupied in a business parking lot. Investigators took possession of the vehicle as evidence while they search for the driver or any passengers in it during the incident.
