Do you owe fees to the Osceola County courts related to your driver license? Is it suspended, and are the fees to get it back in standing a bit much?

The Osceola Clerk of Court is offering the annual opportunity — Operation Green Light — later this month to quickly reinstate their licenses.

During this version of Operation Green Light, which will take place from March 26 through April 9, those with suspended driver licenses will be able to pay overdue court obligations, including unpaid traffic tickets, making it possible to save up to 40 percent off the fees required to reinstate their licenses.

Payment plans will be available for those individuals who are not able to completely satisfy the amount owed.

The operation will be offered in-person during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Osceola County Courthouse. Online, customers may also check for a suspended license, request a payment plan, and complete an event testimonial on the Clerk’s website (www.osceolaclerk.com) under the “Services” tab and selecting “OGL-Driver License Reinstatement.” Payment plans completed during the weekend days of the event will be honored.

“The ability to legally drive in Florida is not only a privilege to be promoted, but for many it is a necessity, without which, the ability to maintain a household, participate in the community, and exercise basic freedoms would be jeopardized,” Clerk of Court Soto said. “I am proud to offer this service which is designed to save those affected money, time, and hardship.”

In addition, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will be onsite with their Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW) vehicle in order to print new licenses and provide additional state services. It will be available March 31 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), April 1 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and April 2 (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
