Osceola Sheriff's Office investigating suspected kidnapping of girl in Poinciana

While the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office have spent Wednesday morning investigating an incident in Poinciana involving the possible abduction of a minor, police officials say they have yet to substantiate any criminal activity took place.

An anonymous caller reportedly “described a possible suspicious incident involving a juvenile” in the area of Koa Street and Berkshire Road, and local residents this morning have noting a heavy presence of marked and unmarked Sheriff’s vehicles along Koa near Berkshire and New Castle Road. The entire area along Koa is marked as an investigation scene.

Social media and Ring app posts from neighbors have been saying a girl of that age may have been robbed and kidnapped just before 7:30 a.m. No Amber Alerts have been issued.

A recent update notes the suspected missing child is a 9 to 13-year-old light-skinned mixed-race female, with dark curly hair, last seen wearing a jacket with a white zipper, and blue jeans. She was riding a black-colored bicycle (pictured).

”The Osceola Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate and follow all potential leads,” a release from the agency just after noon read. “We will inform you once more information is available.”
